We were asked to give the Restaurante brand a distinctive new look that would suggest ‘Mexican fine dining’ and inject it with enough brand power to hold its own against both its parent brand - Old El Paso - as well as private label usurpers. The problem as we saw it, was... There is no such thing as ‘Mexican fine dining’. There is more, or less, authentic. The more authentic the food, the more you pay for the privilege.

A redesign of the existing brand was not going to work. A total rethink was required...

Complete with a new name ‘Mexicana Street Market', Ocean delivered a brand that now stands for ‘the real thing’ in a sea of FMCG. And the result? A sales uplift of 10% in the first quarter, with no support.
