MARVELLOUSLY MUNCHABLE
Created in Glasgow in the 1950s by baker William McDonald (of Penguin fame), Munchmallow initially experienced several decades of sweet success. However, after a period of obscurity in the 80s and 90s, this Great British brand was largely forgotten about in the UK. Jaffa Crvenka were keen to relaunch this delicious, real milk chocolate tea cake in the UK market… and that’s when they approached us.
The brief was simple: create a new identity – the fun, tastiest choice, that would compete against the stuffy and old-fashioned alternatives. And that’s just what we did…

The redesign required strong standout and all-family appeal, focussing on the taste, texture and exciting range of flavours.
Our solution was to communicate the EXPERIENCE of the product – the crack of the chocolate, the squashy meringue and the crunch of the biscuit base. The end result was a pack that consumers could eat with their eyes before slipping it into their shopping trolleys.
